首先请允许我代表中国国际文化交流中心对“愿景‘一带一路’人文与自然之美——庆祝中国尼泊尔建交64周年尼泊尔艺术展”的开幕表示热烈祝贺，对今天莅临展览的各位领导嘉宾、专家学者、书画艺术家表示衷心感谢和热烈的欢迎！
First of all, on behalf of China International Culture Exchange Center, I wish to extend congratulations to the opening of Nepal Art Exhibition: the Magnificence of Culture and Landscape along the Belt and Road，celebrating the 64th anniversary of the Sino-Nepal diplomatic relations, and also to express our heartfelt gratitude and warm welcome to the leaders, experts, scholars, artists of calligraphy and painting present today!
中尼两国是山水相邻的友好邻邦，1955年8月1号，中国和尼泊尔两个伟大的国家建立了外交关系，64年来，中尼关系与时俱进，在政治经济文化等方面开展了广泛而深入的合作，两国关系不断迈上新的台阶。
China and Nepal are good neighbors. Our two great countries established diplomatic relations on Aug 1st, 1955. In the past 64 years, we have conducted wide and in-depth cooperation in the areas of politics, economy and culture so that our relations could advance with the times and step up to a new stage.
为了庆祝这一重要时刻，中国国际文化交流中心与尼泊尔驻华大使馆协商，决定在“国际文化交流艺术馆”举办“愿景：‘一带一路’人文与自然之美—庆祝中国尼泊尔建交64周年尼泊尔艺术展”，展出绘画、摄影，以及尼泊尔珍贵的唐卡、佛像等富有代表性的艺术品，让我们充分领略尼泊尔悠久的历史文化、美丽的自然风光以及尼泊尔人民的勤劳智慧。
After discussion between CICEC and Embassy of Nepal in Bejing, we decided to hold the Nepal Art Exhibition: the Magnificence of Culture and Landscape along the Belt and Road，celebrating the 64th anniversary of the Sino-Nepal diplomatic relations at the( International Gallery for Culture Exchange), in order to celebrate this great moment. Some representative works of art from Nepal will be presented, including paintings, photographs, precious Thangkas and Buddhas. At the exhibition, we will not only enjoy a long history of Nepalese culture, see the beautiful natural scenery, but will also appreciate the diligence and wisdom of Nepalese people.
今年5月份，中国国家主席习近平在亚洲文明对话大会上的主旨演讲中指出，各国文明只有姹紫嫣红，绝无高低优劣，每一种文明都是美的结晶，都彰显着创造之美，一切美好的事物都是相通的，我们应该坚持美人之美，美美与共。
In May, this year, President of PRC Xi Jinping said in the keynote speech at the Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations: “Civilizations are different from each other but no civilization is superior over others. Each civilization is the crystallization of human creation, and each is beautiful in its own way. Therefore we need to uphold the beauty of each civilization and the diversity of civilizations in the world.”
今年是中国国际文化交流中心成立35周年，35年来，我们开展了一系列旨在促进中外文化交流的文化艺术活动，在海内外取得广泛的社会影响。今后，我们会继续努力，进一步促进我国与“一带一路”沿线国家的文化交融交流与民心相通。进一步加强中国与世界各国、各地区人民的相互了解和友好合作，为世界和平、人类文明作贡献。
This year marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of CICEC. In the last 35 years, we have launched diversified activities of culture and art so as to promote cultural exchange between China and foreign countries, which produced wide influence both home and abroad. In the days to come, we will continue our efforts to facilitate cultural interaction and people to people friendship with countries along the Belt and Road. And we will further the mutual understanding of people and friendly cooperation between China and other countries and regions in the world, so that China will contribute more to the world peace and human civilization.
文化中心愿意同致力于中外文明交流互鉴的各国朋友一道，让“姹紫嫣红“的文化艺术在“国际文化交流艺术馆“舞台绚丽绽放。
Through the platform of International Gallery of CICEC, We wish to work together with friends from all countries to provide artists with excellent services and exhibit brilliant cultures and arts across the world.

Nepal and China established diplomatic relations on 1 August 1955. By doing so, the two countries laid the foundations in the modern era of a unique and exemplary relation of trust, friendship and co-operative partnership between two the countries which have a shared history of people-to-people ties, cultural interactions and civilizational exchanges going back to millennia ago. Today, we celebrate the sixty-fourth anniversary of our diplomatic relations, and it is my great pleasure and honor to welcome you all on this momentous occasion.
尼泊尔和中国于1955年8月1日正式建立外交关系，为两国之间独特和堪称典范的互相信任、友好的合作伙伴关系奠定了基础。尼中关系可以追溯到千年以前，两国有着共同的民间往来、文化互动和文明交流的历史。今天，我们举办庆祝尼中建交64周年纪念活动，我很高兴也很荣幸在这个重要的时刻欢迎大家的到来。
Situated on the southern lap of the Himalayas, Nepal is a country with a glorious history, a rich and syncretic civilization, and a unique topography. On the other side of the vast swath of Himalayas, China is at the center of one the most advanced ancient civilizations in the world. The history of mutual interactions and exchanges between these civilizations has remained continuous, intense and mutually beneficial.

In modern times, the relations between Nepal and China are guided by the five principles of peaceful coexistence, mutual trust and understanding and the common pursuit of peace and development. We are good neighbors, trusted friends and reliable partners. Nepal's principled position on One-China policy has always remained unshakeable and irreversible, irrespective of changes in the regime and government in the country. This position will always remain so in the future as well.
在现代，尼泊尔和中国的关系是以和平共处五项原则为指导的。两国是好邻居、好朋友和可信赖的伙伴。尼泊尔在“一个中国”政策上的原则和立场始终是不可动摇也不可改变的，无论尼泊尔政权和政府发生什么样的变化。这一立场在未来也将永远不会改变。
On the other hand, Nepal highly appreciates China's multifaceted supports to Nepal. China is our major development partner. Chinese co-operation has contributed much to Nepal's socio-economic development efforts, particularly in physical infrastructures, transport, communication, energy, health, education, and human resource development. Both Nepal and China have supported each other during normal times and difficult periods. In Nepali language, we characterize our relations as that between नङ र मासु (as close as flesh and nail) and in Chinese 唇齿相依 Chun Chi Xiang Yi (as close as lips and teeth). We greatly value our relation with China.
另一方面，尼泊尔高度赞赏中国对尼泊尔的多方面支持。中国是我们的主要发展伙伴。中国的合作对尼泊尔的社会经济发展做出了很大贡献，特别是在基础设施、交通、通信、能源、卫生、教育和人力资源开发等方面。尼泊尔和中国在正常时期和困难时期都相互支持。在尼泊尔语中，我们把我们的关系描述为नङ र मासु“像指甲和肉之间一样亲密”，相当于中文的“唇齿相依”。我们非常重视与中国的关系。
Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen:Please allow me now to briefly highlight the major developments in Nepal-China relations in the 64th year of diplomatic relations. In April this year, Rt. Hon. Bidya Devi Bhandari, President of Nepali, paid a State Visit to China and met with H. E. Xi Jinping President of People’s Republic of China and reached on common understanding on promoting mutually beneficial cooperation. Several agreements were signed that includes the Protocol on Transit and Transport, MOU on Cooperation for Standardization, and MoU on Cooperation and Mutual Administrative Assistance in Customs Matters among others. She attended the Second Belt anPlease allow me now to briefly highlight the major developments in Nepal-China relations in the 64th year of diplomatic relations. In April this year, Rt. Hon. Bidya Devi Bhandari, President of Nepali, paid a State Visit to China and met with H. E. Xi Jinping President of People’s Republic of China and reached on common understanding on promoting mutually beneficial cooperation. Several agreements were signed that includes the Protocol on Transit and Transport, MOU on Cooperation for Standardization, and MoU on Cooperation and Mutual Administrative Assistance in Customs Matters among others. She attended the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Co-operation, and participated in the Leaders' Roundtable. The Joint Communiqué issued after the Leaders' Roundtable of the Belt and Road Forum on 27 April is a vision of Belt and Road Co-operation, which also includes the vision of developing Trans-Himalayan Multidimensional Connectivity Network to boost connectivity between Nepal and China, and in the region. Such connectivity will also bring economic opportunities to the entire region.
尊敬的各位来宾、女士们先生们:现在，请允许我简要介绍尼泊尔与中国建交64年来，两国关系的主要发展情况。今年4月，尼泊尔总统比迪亚·德维·班达里阁下对中国进行国事访问，会见了中华人民共和国主席习近平阁下，就促进互利合作达成共识。在访问期间，两国签署了若干协定，其中包括过境和运输议定书、标准化合作谅解备忘录、海关事务合作和行政互助谅解备忘录等。班达里总统出席了第二届“一带一路”国际合作高峰论坛，并参加了领导人圆桌会议。4月27日，“一带一路”领导人圆桌会议后发表的联合公报表达了“一带一路”合作的愿景，包括共同发展“跨喜马拉雅”多维连通网络，以促进尼泊尔和中国之间以及该区域的连通性，为给整个区域带来经济发展的机会。
Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun visited Sichuan in September 2018, and attended 17th Western China International Fair. He met with Vice-Premier Hu Chunhua. Speaker of House of Representatives Krishna Bahadur Mahara visited Lhasa in September 2018 and attended Tibet Development Forum. In November 2018, a ministerial-level delegation under the leadership of Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Matrika Yadav participated in the China International Import Expo (CIIE). Similarly, more than a dozen other high-level visits also took place, including that of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense and Minister for Foreign Affairs. Provincial Chief Ministers and leaders from parliament and judiciary, Chief of Nepal Army and other senior officials of Government of Nepal, leaders and scholars of Universities, and academic institutions also visited China during the period. Similarly several political, economic and cultural delegations from central government, leaders from several provinces and organizations of China visited Nepal.
2018年9月，尼泊尔副总统南达2018年9月，尼泊尔副总统南达•巴哈杜尔•潘(Nanda Bahadur Pun)访问四川，出席了第17届中国西部国际博览会，并会见了国务院副总理胡春华。尼泊尔众议院议长克里希纳•巴哈杜尔•马哈拉于2018年9月访问拉萨，并出席了西藏发展论坛。2018年11月，由尼泊尔工业、商业和供应部长马特里卡•亚达夫率领的部长级代表团参加了中国国际进口博览会(CIIE)。此外，两国间还进行了十几次高层访问，包括尼泊尔副总理兼国防部长和尼泊尔外交部长的访问。在此期间，尼泊尔各省首席部长、议会和司法机构领导人、尼泊尔陆军总司令和尼泊尔政府其他高级官员、大学领导和学者以及学术机构也访问了中国。同样，中国政府的多个政治、经济和文化代表团、多个省份和组织的领导人也访问了尼泊尔。
During this 64th year of diplomatic relations, the prefeasibility study of railway project was completed. China-aided infrastructure projects including a power project invested by Chinese company completed and handed over to the government in the period. Several other similar projects under Chinese investment are making good progress. Over the past year, China remained the top source country for foreign direct investment in Nepal, and the second largest source country of tourism. The flow of Chinese tourists to Nepal grew by 47% in 2018 compared to 2017. China also scaled up the volume of grant assistance under bilateral co-operation. Several thousand students from Nepal are currently studying in China, many of them under Chinese scholarships. Such co-operations are critically important in order to meet growing aspirations of Nepali people for better life. Therefore, the past year remained significant in further enhancing our relations in the political, economic and cultural realms and prospects are high.
今年是尼中建交第64周年，两国间铁路项目的预可行性研究已经完成。中国援助的基础设施项目，包括一个由中国公司投资的电力项目，也在此期间完成并移交政府。中国投资的其他项目也进展良好。过去一年，中国仍然是尼泊尔外国直接投资的第一大来源国，也是第二大旅游客源国。与2017年相比，2018年中国游客赴尼泊尔的人数增长了47%。中国提高了双边合作下的赠款援助金额。目前有数千名尼泊尔学生在中国学习，大部分都获得了中国奖学金。为了满足尼泊尔人民对美好生活日益增长的愿望，两国间的合作至关重要。过去这一年在进一步加强双方在政治、经济和文化领域的关系方面意义重大。
In recent years,In recent years, the most urgent task of the government of Nepal has been in the areas of setting development goals and mobilizing resources to achieve them, and institutionalizing the federal structure. With Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali as the guiding mantra, the Government is utilizing internal resources to the maximum extent possible but that is not sufficient to meet are growing needs.
近年来，尼泊尔政府最紧迫的任务是制定发展目标和调动资源来实现这些目标，以及联邦结构制度化。尼泊尔政府以实现尼泊尔国家繁荣、人民幸福为指导原则，正在最大限度地开发和利用国内资源，但这不足以满足尼泊尔日益增长的发展需求。
In this respect, Nepal's fruitful cooperation with China is of great value and substance. The two countries have been working closely for developing infrastructures and in boosting trade, investment and connectivity between the two sides. China is an important partner-in-development for Nepal, including under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative. In the future, Nepal and China will continue to work hand-in-hand to meet the development aspirations of their peoples, and for a just, inclusive and peaceful global order where no one is left behind.
在这方面，尼泊尔与中国富有成效的合作具有重大价值和实质意义。两国一直密切合作，发展基础设施，促进双方的贸易、投资和互联互通。中国是尼泊尔重要的发展伙伴，包括在一带一路倡议框架下。今后，尼泊尔和中国将继续携手努力，满足两国人民的发展愿望，建立一个公正、包容、和平的全球秩序。
Before concluding my speech, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the co-organizer of this exhibition, China International Culture Exchange Center and Foreign Affairs Office of Sichuan Province Special thanks goes to Luxehills Art Museum for contributing 17 paintings from 8 artists, i.e. Mr. Chen Chengji, Mr. Ye Ruikun, Mr. Zhang Zhaofang, Mr. Wei Kui, Mr. Hu Ning, Mr. Ma Yong, Mr. Tian Feng and Mr. Zeng Yang. The same gratitude also goes to photographer Mr. Suxue, as well as a young lady painter Miss Zeng Yangyang.
在结束我的发言之前，我要衷心感谢这次展览的协办单位中国国际文化交流中心以及四川省外事办公室对本次活动的大力支持。特别感谢麓山美术馆为本次展览选送了8位画家的17副绘画作品，这8位画家分别是：陈承基、叶瑞琨、章肇方、魏葵、胡宁、马勇、田丰和曾杨。同样我们也要感谢摄影师苏学先生，以及年轻的女画家曾洋洋女士。
